What’s your Body Type?

(To view a better quality version of this video, watch it on vimeo.com.)

In an effort to more closely match the various preferences of our customer base, all new body shapes at Mela’s are now conveniently available in seven body types!  Please read on for more pictures and descriptions of these body types:

REGULAR
The Regular body type is 5’9″ with a moderately sized bust.  She’s been given just a smidgen of body fat that lightly accentuate her curves and smooths out the sometimes sharp angles of the avatar mesh’s face, resulting in softer feminine features.

CURVY
The Curvy body type is very similar to the Regular and is 5’9″ as well, but her hourglass figure is more pronounced with her ample bustline and slightly wider hips.

PETITE
The Petite body type measures in at 5’7″.  Her smaller breast size and slender build makes her an ideal choice for those wishing to take on a more youthful appearance.  Also ideal for the nekos who want a sleek and compact yet delicate form.

TALL
At 6’1″, the Tall body type is a little taller than the Regular.  Her measurements have been scaled slightly bigger than the Regular in order to preserve proportion.

RUNWAY
The Runway body type was designed with models in mind — slender in the hips without sacrificing femininity, a modest bustline, and measuring in at a statuesque 6’7″ with legs that were meant for showing off designer gowns and pants.  She (quite literally) stands out from the crowd!

NOTE: The Runway head has been sized larger in order to preserve proportion.  If you use this body type you will most likely need to be able to edit your prim hair to fit properly.

PLUS SIZE MODEL
The Plus Size Model body type is 5’9″, and while she is heavier than her Regular counterpart she is certainly not lacking in curves.  Her ample breasts are larger than the other body types (but we’ve kept that slider reigned in so as to prevent those sharp avatar mesh angles from appearing), and her butt and hips have also been generously sized, but she still maintains a defined waistline.

NOTE: Most SL designers work with a slender body build when creating prim clothing attachments.  If you use the Plus Size Model body type, you will most likely need to be able to edit prim attachments such as skirts, shirt collars and cuffs, and capri cuffs.  You will also probably need to be sure to try on boots demos first to make sure that larger sized leg prims are available.

FULL FIGURED
The Full Figured body type stands in at plump 5’9″.  She’s been given a considerable amount more body fat than the Plus Size Model, with less definition overall and a larger belly, perfect for someone who is searching for a bigger, more rotund appearance.  The distribution of her extra weight is mainly around the middle, so that she has what’s commonly referred to as an “apple shape”.

NOTE: Most SL designers work with a slender body build when creating prim clothing attachments.  If you use the Full Figured body type, you will most likely need to be able to edit prim attachments such as skirts, shirt collars and cuffs, and capri cuffs.  You will also probably need to be sure to try on boots demos first to make sure that larger sized leg prims are available.
