New pose releases at Mela’s!

I love musicals, I love dancing, and I love movies… therefore, I love the classic movie musicals that came out of Old Hollywood. I know every word to every song in Singin’ In The Rain, I’ve watched Fred and Eleanor countless times in that dreamy sequence out of Broadway Melody of 1940, and the scuffed-up section of hardwood floor at my parents’ house near the kitchen (that’s now hidden under a rug ) bears silent testimony to all of the years during which my mother put up with me shuffling and stomping around in my tap shoes.

Maybe it’s because of this that I found myself gravitating towards doing these dramatic, dance-ish poses? Who knows :p All I can say is that at the end of Summer Stock, Judy Garland donned a fedora and black nylons and then proceeded to throw down one of the most memorable screen performances of all time <3

This latest posepack has been dubbed ‘Get Happy’ as a sort of homage to that song-and-dance sequence It features a dozen poses that have a bit of a dance-ish, showgirl-ish feel to them. There are actually two extra poses included in the pack — there is a second version of poses 8 and 12; arms were repositioned slightly to accommodate avatars that may have a bit more to love in their hips or belly areas. ^_^

Part of what made that scene in Summer Stock so much fun is that while Judy was prancing about showing off her gams, she was surrounded by guys dancing around in tuxes. Soooo… I figured I had to at least have a couple’s pose, too!
